Add the Scanner, Keep the Boot
China & Australia et al. have shown us the boot must stay. QR code readers and face scanners have been added to keep the people in line. The scanner tracks us to the ends of the earth, and the boot stomps the face it recognizes (presumably, because the body it’s attached to is misbehaving.)
On the leading edge of technocracy, even in China, not enough people are policing their own thoughts to match the double-speak. Boots, tanks, and points subtracted from social credit scores are still needed.
Tools of Dominion
The abolition of slavery has made kidnapping less profitable financially. Before slavery was abolished by law, the slave market offered a profit to kidnappers because they could capitalize the entire working lifetime of the victim. There were numerous buyers who were willing to bid against each other for the lifetime output of kidnap victims.

Today, our land and labor have been pledged to the Fed as collateral for debts that can never be repaid. The merger of corp. & state (Mussolini’s definition of fascism) provides arms that can reach anywhere on the globe. And technocracy offers the tools to keep We the Collateral cataloged, throttled “All within the State, nothing outside the State, nothing against the State.”
George Would Have to Approve
Orwell’s boot “stomping on the human face, forever” referred to the ridiculous “goose-step” boot motion of the marching German army. Anyone with a sense of humor would poke fun at the clumsy march if they had the freedom of thought to do so.
And that was Orwell’s point: people with the capacity to laugh at tyrants must be stamped out.
Orwell might lament the addition of QR code readers and facial scanning to his dystopian vision. But he’d have to approve them. It’s 2021, and we’re past the prophecies of gifted authors but rather living within them. These tools of dominion are so real they’re presently installed outside and inside our own homes.
