Every human trial needs a control group. Fortunately, The Amish are stepping up once again to play this vital role.
Contributing to Medical Science
Amish life is centered on God’s Word, for which observance of the ten commandments is fundamental. The fifth commandment, “Thou Shall Not Kill,” compels the Amish to abstain from untested drugs, which often result in death. However, the Amish may still contribute to medical science.
As gene therapeutics are injected into the arms of the world, the Amish are playing the vital role of an un-vaxxed control group. By refusing experimental drugs, they can contribute to medical research while obeying God’s command to refrain from killing themselves.
Perfect Control Group
When the state teams up with drug companies, they often skip lab tests, computer analysis, and animal testing and proceed directly to testing on humans. A group of people who refuse to compromise their beliefs and are immune to state propaganda is crucial to providing the state with a pristine control group.
CINOs are Unviable
Scientists do not consider Christians in Name Only (CINOs) to be a reliable control group. Too many are confused about their beliefs, have never read the Bible, and think what Hitler did in WWII was OK because it was legal, and he quoted Romans 13.
Waiting for Circle-Backs
Comparisons of disparate groups are fundamental to the rules of double-blind controlled group studies. Strangely, no doctors, scientists, or state agencies to date have circled back to compare experimental group outcomes with the Amish control group. Still, the Amish are determined to serve humanity as the control group of choice for all current and future experiments.
