They say history doesn’t repeat as much as it rhymes. But the near-perfect repeat of behaviors we saw in Italy and Germany in the 1930s is making the world wish for mere rhymes. With the merger of Big Tech and the State, the oppression is amplified by levels of magnitude.
A Real Journalist Observes
Same Old Fascist Left
Author Tom Wolfe explains the use of the word “fascist” in the 1930s:
“In the greatest hoax of modern history, Russia’s ruling “socialist workers party,” the Communists, established themselves as the polar opposites of their two socialist clones, the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (quicknamed “the Nazis”) and Italy’s Marxist-inspired Fascisti, by branding both as “the fascists.”
The behaviors of today’s leftists are identical to their spiritual ancestors: the fascists of WWII. They repeat Russia’s word games by self-identifying as “antifa.” In other words, they have named themselves as against themselves.
Amplified by Technology
The difference between the old and new Left is their alliance with Big Tech.
Technologies that did not exist in the early 1900s supply the new fascists with the ability to track, catalog, censor, measure, dox, and digitally cancel their enemy’s ability to function.
Divine Right of Self-Righteousness
The Left’s atheism leaves a God-sized spiritual hole in their soul. They fill that hole with themselves and earth as God. As self-declared gods, they replace the divine right of kings with the divine right of self-righteousness.
American liberalism is a totalitarian political religion,’ Jonah Goldberg writes near the beginning of Liberal Fascism.
